A friendly, small site owned by Ray and Liz, it is a well maintained five star Visit England rated holiday park. All of our pitches are well-spaced and most have a sea view. We do not have a club or evening entertainment, just peace & quiet. We care about our customers and always go the extra mile to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable stay.
Whether you're looking to stay in one of our holiday caravans or within our camping field, you'll soon discover Polruan Holidays to be a kind of magical place, an area of tranquillity and inspiration, with the cows gracefully grazing on the rolling Cornish countryside and headland, the singing of birds and the welcoming nature of wildlife nestling within our hedgerows, you may see a rabbit or two, and a occasional sighting of a fox or a deer, all this with 45 miles of the most magnificent astonishing panoramic sea view along this picturesque stretch of the Cornish Riviera coastline right from the park.
Polruan has 2 pubs serving local cuisine, a general store, post office and gift shop. There are famous walks, beaches, coves and South West coastal path just metres away. The local bus service to Looe & Polperro stops right outside the park and a ferry service at the bottom of the hill. There's boat hire from Fowey for fishing trips and leisure. Everything you need for a perfect getaway right on our doorstep.
Polruan Holiday park really is the perfect place for everyone within an extremely unique, unspoilt Cornish location. We even allow well-behaved dogs to bring their owners!
Our Park
A small, quiet three acre park with a license for 40 camping pitches, however, to maintain a tranquil environment we only accommodate a maximum of 26 well-spaced pitches.
Our park is divided into three fields. All caravans and tent pitches have their own adjacent parking area; we have hedgerows dividing all three fields and most of the perimeter, which in turn is surrounded by National Trust and farmland with views across the headland and the sea beyond. In the top field we have just ten well-spaced static holiday caravans, two for hire, eight privately owned, in a circular garden like setting, along with six touring pitches all with gravel hard-standings 16 amp electric hook-up and space for an awning.
The middle field has grass pitches for fifteen tents or motor-homes, all pitches with electric hook-ups. The upper part of this area is level and then slopes gently towards the bottom field. All of these pitches have sea views.
The bottom field is mainly for tents and consists of ten gently sloping grass pitches, all with the very best sea view. There is a separate children’s play area with swings and enough space for ball games. This is the perfect area on our park for families.
Our information room contains loads of free information on local activities and attractions including bus times, local walks and ferry details. We have a library for those who want to sit back and admire the view and read a book or two and seating for your convenience. We have free Wi-Fi access available on the park.
We have a laundry room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. Here we also have a microwave and a fridge for all to use. We offer ice packs to loan or facilities to freeze your own ice packs. We have electrical points to recharge your phone/camera/laptop batteries.
At Polruan holidays we take great pride in our park, striving to ensure all our visitors have a safe and relaxing stay, many of our visitors return year after year some have been coming back to the campsite for more than 30 years.
Our park is unique and the amenities are exceptionally maintained which is why we've achieved a 5 star Visit England rating and won many awards. We are also very proud to have accomplished the David Bellamy Gold award for our continuous dedication to wildlife and our participation in helping the environment.
